Low Carb/Keto Salt Lake
October 30 @ 8:00 am - October 31 @ 5:00 pmUS$100
|Update – March 30: After consulting with the venue, the speakers, and the vendors – we have found new dates for Keto Salt Lake 2020: October 30 and 31. Yes, it’s Halloween (it was the first thing we noticed =) the conference will be over each day at 5 pm. While it’s not an optimal situation, it’s the best that worked with the majority of the speakers and vendors and was a compromise all around. We are still planning on running our 2021 conference on April 23-24, 2021. If you are not going to be able to attend in October and would like to have your tickets switched over to the April 2021 conference, please let us know by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org and we can start that process.
If you purchased your 2020 tickets fewer than 90 days ago and would like a refund, please let us know (it’s pretty easy and the credit card people only charge us $1 to do the refund, not ideal but not too bad). If you purchased your tickets more than 90 days ago, the credit card processor doesn’t let us do a refund through them (their policy, not ours) and a refund would need to be done manually, usually with a paper check; additionally, the sales tax and fees can’t be refunded so your refund would be around 10% lower than what you paid. The best option is to attend in October, second best is to come in April 2021. Some of the speakers are coming in 2020 and 2021, most are only doing one so if there is a 2020 speaker you REALLY want to see, come in October.
Keto and Low Carb are blowing up here in Utah, with the power to transform people’s lives by changing the way they live, it’s something we want to share with those in our area. Come participate with your fellow ketonians in the second annual keto conference in Utah: October 30 and 31, 2020 (8 am to 5 pm each day). Listen to inspiring speakers, make new friends, and enjoy getting together with the larger keto/low carb community! (by the way, did you know we have a monthly Meat-Up?)
We’re inviting some of the coolest keto companies to be part of this event, primarily ones that began right here in Utah. Seriously: when we discovered the 5th “keto bakery” was operating here in Utah, we decided it was absolutely essential we organize this conference and get everyone together!
The conference runs for 2 days so the speakers will have the time they need to fully share their presentations.
Somewhat related, on Wednesday, October 28 at 7 pm, we will be having a “meet and greet” with many of the speakers. It’s totally free and open to everyone. More info about that event can be found here.
Meals during the conference: We will have coffee and water service available during the conference. The Miller Cafe will be open on Friday until 1pm in the “Culinary Arts” building – which is a short walk north of the building we are using for the conference. Their options for food that’s “keto-friendly” are rather limited so you might want to consider skipping lunch or going to a nearby restaurant instead (same thing for Saturday when the cafeteria is closed). Nearby restaurants include:
- R&R BBQ (brisket, sausage, pulled pork)
- Buffalo Wild Wings (they use beef tallow to fry the wings more info here)
- Texas Roadhouse (get your broccoli with cheese, bacon, sour cream, and butter)
- HuHot Mongolian Grill (skip the sugar sauces)
- JCW Burgers (bunless burgers, check out the “crippler”)
- IHOP (remember to ask for SHELL eggs so you don’t get pancake batter in your eggs)
- Wendy’s (bunless burgers)
- Crown Burger (bunless burgers, I LOVE PASTRAMI)
2021 dates: We already have the dates and venue for next year! We will be at Venue 6SIX9 on April 23 and 24, 2021.
