Megan Ramos is a Canadian clinical researcher. She joined Dr. Jason Fung and his colleagues as a research student with a keen interest in preventative medicine when she was just 15 years old. She’s a world-leading expert on therapeutic fasting and low carbohydrate diets, and has guided over 10,000 people worldwide. Passionate about overcoming her own health hurdles through diet and lifestyle modifications, she left the research team to co-found Intensive Dietary Management (IDM) along with Dr. Fung. She had been diagnosed with non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NALFD) at age 12, polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS) at age 14, and type 2 diabetes (DMII) at age 27. She was able to reverse these metabolic conditions and achieve an 86 pound weight loss since incorporating intermittent fasting and time restricted eating protocols in combination with a low carb diet.

Megan lives and sees clients in person in Toronto, Canada. She is one of the directors of the nonprofit organization Public Health Collaboration Canada (PHC Canada), an international group dedicated to promoting evidence-based nutritional information. She is also on the editorial board of the Journal of Insulin Resistance.
